(December 1, 2005) -- The American Society of Orthopaedic Physician’s Assistants (ASOPA) has relocated its base of operations from Rosemont, IL to Indianapolis, IN as a result of a new partnership with Holland-Parlette Associates (HPA), a nationally-recognized association management firm. 

ASOPA was previously managed by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) as one of its specialty societies.  All of ASOPA’s day-to-day functions, including meeting planning, marketing, membership, financial and web maintenance will now be consolidated within the group’s Indianapolis office with the objective of providing additional communications and valuable benefits to the membership.  ASOPA will retain a strong relationship with the AAOS and continue to participate in various Academy-sponsored programs, meetings and initiatives.

Taking the reigns as ASOPA’s new Executive Director is Kent Lindeman, CMP. He is a co-owner and principal of HPA and has 13 years experience in association management, including five years as Executive Director of the National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists (NAOT).  Lindeman is a graduate of Bucknell University and obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 1997.

Other staff that will be working on ASOPA projects include Lori Pearson (Meetings, Publications & Website), Andrea Watson (Membership) and Julie Wages (Accounting).
